November 2013 Round Up!

November has been a month like no other for Applegate, with Applegate Properties officially launching this month and our Managing Director Amy Wray winning the Young Business Woman of the Year award at the Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards 2013. We hosted a launch event in late November to introduce Applegate Properties to local businesses, contractors, developers, family and friends and it couldn’t have been more of a success. The event took place at Cellar 88 in Holmfirth and we were delighted at the turnout to support us in our latest venture. We’d like to thank once again everyone who attended and would also like to extend the offer to all our existing clients that they will receive a discount when selling a property through Applegate Properties for them or their company up until February 2014.
We launched our first Applegate magazine in Autumn 2012 and it was a really exciting landmark for us – we were already communicating with our clients through Facebook and Twitter and sharing news with them via our blog and news page on www.applegatelettings.co.uk, but the magazine was us taking things that step further, sharing what we thought to be crucial information for tenants and landlords mixed with some material about the area in which we live and work and also a little more information about our team here at Applegate. We’re happy to announce that our second edition of Applegate Magazine is now ready for publication in December 2013, there’ll be more information about Edition 2 in next month’s round up!
We also welcomed a new member of staff to the ever expanding Applegate team this month, Gwen Kaye has now joined the Applegate team as a negotiator and accounts manager and we already don’t know how we ever managed without her! This latest addition to our team comes just in time for our move to new premises in Holmfirth; we’ll be finalising this over the next few weeks but will keep you informed of our relocation plans and look forward to meeting with you in our new offices in the future!
With zero withdrawals on the lettings front and six houses put on the market with Applegate Properties in its’ first month, we are pleased with the initial response we have had. With 74% of new lettings business coming from existing clients and an impressive 83% of houses being put on the market for sale coming from existing Applegate Lettings landlords, we’ve confirmed that our high levels of customer service have enabled our transition from solely a letting agent to a fully-fledged estate agent.
We’ll be back with more Applegate news next month!
